Author, Illustrator, Orator

Martin Killips’ creativity knows no bounds. As a published author, his Laugh and Learn children’s picture book series sold more than 50,000 copies and are highly educational and humorous to be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

Martin has developed a teaching program for primary school aged children to learn how to write their own poetry and draw their own cartoons. His greatest joy is watching children who self-confess a hatred of reading grow and develop a love of language and the written word.

As the creator of ‘Copycat - How to Teach and Learn to Draw’, Martin’s sellout product produced by Crown and Andrews taught adults how to create detailed pencil sketches - something Martin made a successful living at.

Martin’s book ‘The Man Who Would be King Charles III’ has just been launched! It is a comprehensive albeit very humorous jaunt through history of all the kings and queens of England from William the Conqueror up to King Charles - III. Highly entertaining and great for learning English royal trivia facts!

What People Are Saying

"His writings for children seem to take up where Milne left off, but are far more than pastiche. They’re funny, ingenious and somewhat subversive. Killips’ illustrations are of a high order. In other words, Killips is a talent to be reckoned with."
